We are seeking anexperienced Shop Managerin our Panama City Beach office tooversee our company's daily operations and drive efficiency. The ideal candidate will beresponsible for managing fabrication staff, implementing strategies to improveproductivity, and ensuring smooth operations.
As the Shop Manager, you will manage the staff in order to oversee all aspects of ourcountertop fabrication operations. You will be responsible for ensuring efficientproduction processes, managing a team of skilled fabricators, and maintaining highstandards of quality and safety by ensuring staff executes responsibilities of their rolesday to day. This role requires a strong blend of leadership, technical expertise infabrication methods, and a keen focus on operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations including but not limited to template crews, production staff, installation crews and service technicians Coordinate and optimize production schedules to meet customer demands while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. Supervise and motivate a team of fabricators and production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and safety. Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure all products meet our standards and customer expectations. This includes conducting QC checks throughout the production process. Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to support production needs and minimize waste. Implement policies and processes as they relate to production and installation of countertops as set forth by management and ownership. Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally. Evaluate and improve operations on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis as designated by processes. Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective action. Prepare regular reports for upper management and ownership as related to production (edge profile linear footage, sq footage produced, etc.) Maintain machinery and tool calibration to ensure quality. Ensure staff follow health and safety regulations as dictated by OSHA standards both in the field and onsite. Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors) Qualifications
MUST have strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively MUST have a minimum 5 years industry experience in a management role, and conflict resolution MUST be familiar with CNC (Northwood router and BACA saw jet) and hand fabrication. MUST be able to perform basic machine maintenance and repair. MUST be able to read a tape measure. Job Type:
