Summary:
Reporting into the VP, Global Supply Chain, the Director of Global Logistics is responsible for leading the Global Logistics function (~280 Associates & $90 Million annual budget) including Global Distribution Operations (Roosendaal, Netherlands; Nashville, TN; & global 3PL network), Global Transportation & Trade Compliance, Global Customer Logistics, as well as the Logistics Project Management function. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and effective storage and movement of goods with the objective of safe, timely, & high-quality service to our customers.
This role requires regular travel to sites within Hollister’s Distribution Network, as well as occasional travel to Hollister Manufacturing Sites and regional Commercial Business Unit Offices. Preferred base location is Libertyville, IL, although a Hollister DC location (Roosendaal, Netherlands or Nashville, TN) could be considered.
Responsibilities:
Oversee Global Distribution Operations at Hollister DCs, as well as 3rd Party Logistics Providers (3PL’s) including processes for customer order fulfillment, international replenishment order fulfillment, inventory management, & facility management
Oversee Global Transportation Operations including Private Fleet, Third Party Logistics Providers, Import/ Export Compliance, International Ocean/Air Carriers, Hazardous Materials Transportation Management
Oversee Global Logistics Capital and Process Improvement Projects, as well as Logistics Strategy
Set near-term and long-term goals and performance objectives (KPIs) and define initiatives to support
Hire, coach and develop Logistics management team for high performance; Assess, assign/realign job duties as needed; Ensure succession plans are in place
Determine future operational capabilities needed and enable people, process, & technology to achieve
Leverage technology and automation to enhance logistics processes, improve visibility, and drive data-driven decision-making

Assess performance data and identify, justify and execute strategic and process-oriented projects in collaboration with stakeholders, including distribution center design projects, logistics systems enhancement projects, efficiency/quality/cost/service improvement initiatives, etc.
Develop, justify, and present Global Logistics annual budget & strategic Capital Investment Plans; Track and report actuals vs. budget, including risks and opportunities
Negotiate and monitor third party contracts (3PL) for global business units to ensure service levels are met at competitive market rates
Build relationships with key stakeholders and business partners to achieve optimal information flow and product flow and to ensure alignment on logistics vision, priorities, initiatives, etc.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and highly engaged working culture
Ensure Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) are maintained
Ensure compliance with corporate and/or industry initiatives particularly in areas of Regulatory Compliance and Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG)
Essential Functions of the Role:

Develop Logistics Capabilities over the near, mid, & long-term horizon and recommend technical solutions to enable these capabilities
Utilize Continuous Improvement Process / Hollister Production System, where appropriate

Communicate with excellent written and verbal skills
Leverage strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
