Travel: 25% Regional Travel Manages Others: No Education: Bachelor’s Degree required (MBA or equivalent advanced degree a plus) Experience: 3–6 years of experience in consulting, strategy, business operations, or related fields; experience at a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, or BCG) or in a growth-stage startup strongly preferred THE OPPORTUNITY: Join our team at BusPatrol as a Business Operations & Strategy Manager, where you will help shape the company’s growth, operational performance, and strategic priorities. Reporting to the Associate Director of BizOps & Strategy, you will work closely with Operations and other functions to support key initiatives from design through execution. This is a hands-on role for a versatile operator who enjoys taking ownership of important metrics and projects, is comfortable working with some ambiguity, and can bring focus and structure to help the business achieve its goals. You’ll also develop a strong understanding of how operational initiatives and metrics impact our financial performance, enabling you to focus on the levers that drive the greatest business value. Responsibilities
Embedded & Strategic Operational Support: Partner closely with Operations, Field, and other functions to embed support on high-impact initiatives that enable strategic execution and delivery Translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes and ensure they are understood and acted upon across teams Understand how initiatives and operational metrics tie back to financial outcomes. Build simple financial/ROI analysis/models and apply prioritization frameworks to focus on highest-impact work Identify and pilot new tools and technologies to improve operational performance and scalability. Apply structured project management and change management approaches to ensure process improvement initiatives deliver results. Identify and bring structure to ambiguous problems, designing processes, dashboards, and frameworks where needed Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes, implement best practices, and scale what works Performance Management & Insights: Lead the development and ongoing refinement of enterprise KPIs that measure success against yearly strategic priorities Monitor and analyze key operational metrics on a regular basis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities Connect operational metrics to financial outcomes, keeping a pulse on how initiatives and performance trends impact our bottom line Explore, analyze, and interpret large datasets in Tableau and other BI tools to uncover insights that inform decisions Synthesize data into clear presentations and executive communications that drive understanding and action Translate performance trends into actionable recommendations and help leadership understand progress toward goals High-Priority Project Champion: Own 2–3 enterprise-level initiatives per year from diagnosis through execution, including data analysis, stakeholder alignment, and solution incubation Build strong relationships across functions and earn a reputation for delivering meaningful outcomes Establish trust with stakeholders and deliver on commitments while communicating clearly Test, iterate, and scale solutions that have a measurable impact on cost, speed, or quality of operations Codify learnings into playbooks, templates, etc. to enable scale and repeatability Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field (MBA a plus) 3–6 years of experience in consulting, strategy, business operations, or related fields; experience at a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, or BCG) or in a growth-stage startup strongly preferred Strong financial and analytical acumen; ability to link operational performance to financial impact and prioritize high-value initiatives Proven ability to design KPIs, drive operational excellence, and deliver high-impact cross-functional initiatives Advanced proficiency with Tableau or similar BI tools and Excel Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience creating executive-ready narratives and slide decks Ability to work cross-functionally at all levels and build trusted relationships across the organization Bias toward action, adaptability, and curiosity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Passion for leveraging data and technology to solve problems and drive change BusPatrol Value Proposition
