Position Summary:
this person is responsible for overseeing strategic planning, maintenance, budgeting/cost control, operational efficiency, and overall management of SA Hospitality Group’s restaurant locations, ensuring their optimal functioning, safety, and compliance with regulations. This role involves leading teams, managing budgets, developing and implementing maintenance programs, and aligning facility operations with corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance / Facilities Management
Develop a proactive maintenance program for all existing locations to ensure they reflect the quality and prestige of each brand.
Direct facilities operations with a focus on preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and regulatory compliance.
Provide guidance to the Director of Facilities and the facilities team to ensure excellence in ongoing maintenance and brand consistency.
Lead and evolve facilities operations across multiple sites
Oversee building systems and ensure operational reliability
Drive capital projects, renovations, and space planning
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts
Champion sustainability and safety initiatives
Present performance insights and strategic updates to leadership
Budget and Cost Control
Develop and monitor budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations
Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance, facilities, and repairs ensuring that resources are used efficiently and within financial constraints.
Manage capital project planning including annual budgeting for equipment, remodels and upgrades
Secure LY Maintenance spends on preventative and Ad hoc/Emergency services to develop budget; evaluating high priority R&M based on wear and tear and include projected new openings.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, securing competitive pricing and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
Ensure that all maintenance and facilities management activities comply with local regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Implement quality control measures to guarantee that all projects meet the group’s standards for craftsmanship and design excellence.
Health & Safety, OSHA, ADA, WC, food safety compliance with regular inspections.
Dashboards tracking tickets, resolution time, asset scores, and budget variance.
Manage and mentor a team including the Director of Facilities & Maintenance, Regional Facilities Managers, and on-site Maintenance Coordinators fostering their professional growth and creating a high-performance culture.
Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, maintain quality control, and ensure timely project completion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including real estate, design, operations, and finance, to establish construction and facilities goals and align them with the company's growth objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborating with senior leadership and other departments to identify and address facility needs, support organizational growth, and ensure alignment with business goals.
10+ years of experience in maintenance, construction, or facilities management, preferably within hospitality
Proven expertise in multi-location management, with a track record of maintaining high standards across diverse properties.
Excellent project management skills, including budget and timeline oversight, as well as cross-functional team leadership.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Ability to travel as required, including visits to all restaurant locations
