S&P Global Ratings is seeking an experienced analyst to join its Structured Finance Ratings practice which provides credit ratings and opinions for securitizations backed by RMBS assets. The Associate Director is primarily responsible for analyzing transactions backed by U.S. residential mortgages. The Associate Director will aggregate data and information for rating committee presentations, review operational capabilities of issuers and lenders, identify market trends, and contribute to market research and commentary. The Associate Director may act as the primary analyst and may be an active voting member of the rating committee and prepare material for ratings publication.

Responsibilities: As an Associate Director, develop leading analytical research and ratings, meet with issuers and investors on analytical matters, and resolve client needs. Manage RMBS transactions, ensuring a high level of analytic quality. Conduct detailed reviews of legal and operating documents to ensure compliance with criteria. Demonstrate strong knowledge of ratings criteria and cash flow analysis. Effectively communicate S&P’s methodologies and procedures. Develop and communicate S&P Global Ratings thought leadership and credit themes. Participate in and lead special projects to support the Structured Finance business strategy. Compensation/Benefits Information:

This section is applicable to US candidates. S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $180,000. Final base salary will be based on geographic location, experience, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. What We’re Looking For: Qualifications: An advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; CFA is preferred. A minimum of 4–6 years of experience in the RMBS sector. Strong proficiency with Excel, financial models and financial data. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines under time pressure. Analytical independence and objectivity. Diligent, intellectually curious self-starter with a strong work ethic and drive to succeed. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team. Proficiency in programming skills (VBA, R, Python) a plus.
