Full Time Senior Management The Bronx, NY, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1207 Salary Range: $150,000.00 To $165,000.00 Annually The Vice President of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Services oversees Residential Services for 29 IRA’s (residential accommodations) located throughout the NYC and Westchester, as well as the day-to-day operations of the I/DD department. The VP takes the lead with implementation of overall department policies and protocols and as lead project manager. The VP serves as a member of the Rising Ground Council to assist with overall organization activities, policies, and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Provide direct supervision to the residential directors and entitlement specialists, with dotted line support to the AVP of community programs. Create, update, and implement policies and procedures for the department. Maintain a working knowledge of all Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) regulations pertaining to the different service types. Train management team on regulations and protocols related to each of their programs. Conduct periodic reviews of program records to ensure that all documentation regulations are being followed. Represent Rising Ground on various external committees and provider associations. Engage with various stakeholders including people supported, advocates, families, care managers, staff from other organizations, etc. as needed. Oversee all intake and enrollment activities in residential programs. Work closely with the Finance department to create and maintain budget for residential programs. Closely monitor and manage billing on a bi-weekly basis. Support the benefits and entitlements specialists in ensuring people supported B&E are active. Support program supervisors with day-to-day program operations. Collaborate with OPWDD leadership for high level issues/projects. Maintain AWARDS Foothold Electronic Health Record for overall department. Represent the I/DD Services on Risk Management, Council, and other committees and intra-agency meetings as needed. Works closely with the support departments within Rising Ground; QI, Training, Finance, Billing, General Services. Chairs the Informed Consent Committee. Oversees and maintains the Electronic Health Record platform. Additional duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree Preferred). At least 10 years working with people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, at least 5 years in a management role. Thorough understanding of OPWDD and other related federal, state, and local regulations and compliance. Ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills, written as well as verbal. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other programs as needed to provide reports and presentations. Able to encourage a positive attitude toward the capabilities and limitations due to the disabilities of the people that we support.
