We’re recruiting a full-time mid-level Environmental Engineer, Environmental Geologist or Environmental Scientist based in Denver, Colorado to support various environmental investigation and remediation projects. Responsibilities
The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. Perform a variety of duties involving the execution, management, coordination, monitoring and oversight of environmental projects. Supervise, manage, and mentor junior level technical environmental staff. Provide QA/QC review of subordinates’ work product. Plan, manage, and conduct environmental restoration projects such as investigations, designs, remediations, and long-term management and maintenance of hazardous materials/waste. Plan, manage, and conduct outreach for environmental projects such as preparing and presenting technical information to clients, regulators, community, and public. Conduct project and contract management of environmental projects, including complying with scopes of work, developing and managing project schedules, and performing financial management such as preparing invoices, monthly/periodic status reports. Responsible for preparing and reviewing technical reports, development and oversight of remedial/removal actions, field sampling and field procedures of soil and groundwater investigations. Prepare cost and technical proposals for potential environmental contracts. Support business development initiatives for the environmental business line. Network with potential teaming partners and clients. Manage client expectations and maintains routine communication with clients and regulatory agencies. Travel to project sites up to 25% is required. Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:
Ability to interact professionally with managers, coworkers, field operations staff, technical staff, and subcontractors. Strong technical writing ability required. Capable of supporting development of or writing project work plans, health and safety plans, etc. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Self-motivated, able to function as part of a team, able to think critically. Additionally, must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as evidenced by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. Must be a U.S. citizen. Military Installation Access and Security Clearance:
This position requires access to military installations. Must be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass and currently hold or able to obtain a security clearance. Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, geology, environmental science or related field from an accredited college or university is required. Master’s degree is preferred but not required. Five (5) or more years of environmental experience is required. Certifications:
Professional Certification Preferred (not required): (Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist, Registered Geologist, etc.). OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification with current 8-Hour Annual Refresher preferred. Other desirable professional certifications included: OSHA 30-hour General Industry or Construction Industry safety training, Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors, and Project Management Professional (PMP). The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of our customer’s total compensation package for employees.
