Family Pastor, Ministry Director, Youth Director First Baptist Church of Springfield envisions a thriving youth ministry to serve the spiritual, social, and practical needs of middle and high school students. We believe this ministry will reach new students and minister to students already connected to the church. The Director of Student Ministry will provide leadership for student-centered Christian fellowship, education, discipleship, and outreach. Student Ministry Core Duties and Responsibilities Create an atmosphere of concern for the well-being and salvation of youth in the church and community. Build relationships with each student. Implement outreach and evangelism ministries focused on students. Enhance the worship life of students through individual and corporate activities. Discover and cultivate students' spiritual gifts and provide opportunities to use them. Offer opportunities for Christian growth and discipleship. Foster Christian fellowship, relationships, and unity among students. Communicate and promote the goals, plans, and activities of the student ministry to the congregation. Build relationships between students, parents, and other groups within the church. Serve as a resource for parents, ministries, and the congregation regarding student needs and issues. Develop, implement, and evaluate the student ministry budget. Train and develop student leader volunteers.
