The College of Arts and Sciences, Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Spanish language and Latino/Latin American Studies. The role involves teaching six courses (24 semester-hours) per academic year, including courses in language, culture, and general education history (Themes in Global History), as well as interdisciplinary Latin American courses in English. The department offers a range of language and culture courses and an eight-week study abroad program in Cuenca, Ecuador. Required: A Ph.D. in Spanish language, literature, cultural studies, or an equivalent field at the time of appointment. Native or near-native Spanish proficiency with a strong commitment to teaching excellence and scholarship. A clear understanding and personal commitment to North Park University's mission of Christian higher education. Desired: Experience with the Canvas Learning Management System.
