Job Description
Dewberry is currently seeking a Regional Municipal Market Leader to expand our Water/Wastewater Services practice in Northern Virginia. This position will be located in our Fairfax, VA office. The Regional Municipal Market Leader will be responsible for developing business strategy, maintaining existing client relationships, developing new clients and business, and overseeing production and technical staff for the execution of complex water/wastewater engineering projects. The successful candidate will be a civil, mechanical, or environmental engineer with a diverse background and extensive experience in winning and executing linear, pumping, storage, or treatment projects. With support from the enterprise, the successful candidate will lead business development activities, pursue new clients and potential project leads, prepare price and technical proposals, and coordinate with other regional and national water/wastewater managers to jointly pursue water/wastewater projects in the region. Additionally, the candidate will have access to corporate technical expertise and demonstrated utilization of technical expertise with their project team. Responsibilities
Client management of key municipal water/wastewater clients. Project management and lead process mechanical design of multi-disciplined water/wastewater projects. Support and lead client action and capture plans for specific clients or opportunities. Support and lead proposal efforts for municipal water/wastewater contracts and/or projects. Support and/or prepare task order proposals for on-call engineering contracts. Mentorship of younger engineers and project managers in water/wastewater design, project management, and client management. Required Skills & Required Experience
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering field is required; M.S. degree preferred. VA Professional Engineering license is required. 20+ years’ experience of increasing levels of project and client responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects. A minimum of 10 years’ project management and technical staff supervision experience. A successful track record of building water/wastewater client relationships in Virginia’s water/wastewater market, particularly high-profile regional clients. A successful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule, and budget. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong client retention and new business development skills.
