Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in safety or 5 years’ experience in safety related field.

Experience in safety management, particularly in DOT and warehouse environment.

Strong understanding of safety regulations, risk management, communication and training skills.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance : Ensure compliance with DOT regulations (FMCSA, OSHA, hazmat) and warehouse safety standards.

Program Development : Develop, implement and maintain safety programs for both DOT and warehouse operations.

Training : Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees, including DOT-specific training for drivers.

Lead and document investigations of accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and developing corrective actions.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training and incidents.

Claims Management : Manage workers’ compensation claims and ensure compliance with insurance requirements.

Communication : Communicate safety information to employees, supervisors and other stakeholders.

Work with management, supervisors and other departments to ensure a safe work environment.
