Responsibilities The Division of Laboratory Genetics and Genomics within the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is recruiting a Genomics Laboratory Director (M.D., D.O., and/or Ph.D.) with a focus on hereditary genetics and/or oncology testing.
Mayo Clinic is a unique practice environment, focused on the needs of the patient and dedicated to teamwork. Our large clinical laboratory team consists of ABMGG/ABP board-certified laboratory directors, genetic counselors, and laboratory professionals working in a state-of-the-art environment to provide expertise and high-quality genetic testing results for both hereditary disorders and oncology. There is an opportunity to specialize in the oncology or hereditary practice or to have shared responsibility in both practice areas, depending upon the professional background of the candidate. The Division of Laboratory Genetics and Genomics has an extensive and rapidly growing menu of clinical tests.
Staff in the Division of Laboratory Genetics and Genomics work closely with colleagues across the institution, particularly within the Department of Clinical Genomics, the Center for Individualized Medicine, and the Cancer Center. These opportunities offer a stimulating environment for professional growth and career development.
Qualifications Qualified candidates should have ABMGG Board certification/eligibility in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics, Clinical Molecular Genetics and Genomics, Clinical Cytogenetics, and/or ABP Board certification/eligibility in Molecular Genetic Pathology.
Exemption Status Exempt
Compensation Detail The minimum starting salary for Laboratory specialties may range from $289,000.00 to $433,750.00. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
