Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking Heart Failure Faculty in New Brunswick, NJ.
The Heart Failure Faculty within the Division of Cardiovascular Disease and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School provides outstanding patient care, mentoring, and teaching of cardiology fellows. Candidates will have the opportunity to participate in clinical and basic science research and assume leadership roles in Heart Failure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement responsibilities related to heart failure services ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations.
Provide high-quality in-patient and out-patient care for heart failure patients.
Manage care for patients with heart transplantation, pulmonary hypertension, and those on short- and long-term mechanical circulatory support.
Participate in outreach activities.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the division’s educational programs, including teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows at RWJUH and affiliate hospitals in clinical cardiology and subspecialties.
Participate in CME development programs.
Develop and sustain heart failure research programs.
Collaborate with faculty to initiate research studies in heart failure.
Leadership opportunities in Heart Failure and Mechanical Circulatory Support are available.
These responsibilities may be amended as necessary with written notification.
Education and Qualifications:
Must possess an MD degree.
Completed 3 years of internship and internal medicine residency.
Completed 3 years of general cardiology fellowship and accredited advanced heart failure fellowship.
Certificates and Licenses:
Board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
Training and certification in echocardiography are a plus.
Obtain a New Jersey medical license.
