Estate Administration Attorney

Position Description Boston boutique estate planning law firm seeks a full time Attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience in estate administration and settlement including probate filings and estate tax returns for high net-worth client base. The Attorney will work directly with the Partners. The Attorney will meet with clients to guide them, and their families, through the probate and trust administration process. In addition to estate administration, the Attorney will work closely with members of the Firm to draft estate planning documents and research legal and tax issues associated with a wide range of cutting-edge planning strategies for high net-worth clients. Expectations Excellent communication and legal writing skills with a high level of attention to detail. Excellent case management skills. Experience with complex estate administration and probate pleadings. Experience with drafting estate planning documents. Experience with estate tax returns (Form 706), and gift tax returns (Form 709). Three or more years of related work experience with a law firm, trust department, or similar environment preferred. Network with other professionals. Massachusetts Bar required. Preferred LLM degree in Taxation with an emphasis in Estates and Trusts, or an attorney who is a CPA with Estates and Trusts experience.
