Group Exercise Instructor Salary:

There are various specialties for Group Exercise Instructors, including Yoga (all levels), Zumba, Barre, Cycle, Les Mills classes, PiYo, Pilates, Kickboxing, Boot Camp/HIIT, Strength Training, Tai Chi, Step Aerobics, and more. Key responsibilities include: Demonstrating skills and explaining them clearly to class members Adapting to the learning level of each class Ensuring the safety of all participants during class Working with individuals to correct faults, improve self-image, and progress in their fitness Arriving prepared with materials and equipment, dressed appropriately, and on time Knowing emergency procedures and the location of emergency equipment Keeping attendance records Participating in recruitment and promotional events Other duties as required Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or GED Must be 18 years or older Ability to conduct safe, effective, and motivating classes Outgoing personality to relate well with participants Interest in working with individuals and groups Current CPR and AED certifications Nationally recognized group exercise certification and/or specialty certifications (e.g., Yoga Alliance, CrossFit, Zumba, Pilates, Martial Arts, Spin, Les Mills, Barre) Working Conditions
Ability to teach at various times, standing, reaching, lifting up to 25 pounds, climbing, balancing, and other physical activities as necessary. Benefits
