The electrical engineering team will design, analyze, calculate and create specifications for low and medium voltage power distribution systems; emergency power, generators and UPS standby systems; lighting systems and controls; fire alarm systems; communication systems; and HVAC controls for an individual facility/attraction, area development, land, or theme park project. In this position, the Electrical Engineer Senior - Project Hire will report to Manager, Electrical Engineering. This is a Project Hire position without any guarantee of permanent placement. Job Summary:

What You Will Do: Plans and implements the design, manufacture, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus, such as electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, wiring and power systems/devices, for the generation, transmission and control of electric power for multiple attractions Maintain and ensure conformance to department standards, procedures, and specifications Organize and develop project design criteria and engineering work plans for projects of varying complexity Provide technical direction to in-house engineers and designers, and to outside consultants in the production of construction contract documents Monitor work progress and ensure that technical quality, interdisciplinary coordination and production requirements are met Monitor performance against the project design schedule, budget and earned value Take responsibility for obtaining building department approvals when required Answer construction bid period questions and respond to and resolve field issues and questions. Conduct on-site visits, inspections, and field reports. May have Engineer of Record responsibility Required Qualifications & Skills

The successful candidate will have: 6 or more years of work experience in electrical engineering Construction phase experience including the submittal/shop drawing review process and on-site field inspections Prior experience with Revit Preferred Qualifications

General knowledge of the electrical engineering discipline, including industry practices, construction methods and materials, codes, current technology and the preparation and use of contract documents in all phases of design and construction Knowledge of electrical medium and low voltage power distribution systems Knowledge of electrical engineering, including current technologies and codes Knowledge of the use of 3D CAD technology and analytical software for electrical engineering design, short circuit, circuit breaker coordination, and arc-flash hazard analysis Experience leading a small team of electrical engineers and designers in the production of contract documents for construction Education

Graduate of an accredited engineering school with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Advanced degree in the electrical engineering field is desirable Certification and Licenses

Licensed as a professional electrical engineer Active membership in IEEE, IES, or IAEI is desirable The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $113,800 to $152,500 per year.
