Do you have a strong background in Component Engineering? Join our HiRel team and leverage your experience to support the business with designing, developing, modifying and evaluating analog, power and mixed signal electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
In your new role you will:
Evaluate analog and mixed signal electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for analog and mixed signal electronic equipment and other hardware systems Advise design engineering on selection, application and test of electronic components and systems Determine reliability requirements of components and systems to achieve company, customer and any governmental agency reliability objectives Make recommendations for changes in the selection and application of components and systems Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability Source, select, and qualify components used in the company’s technology Investigate alternate component technologies or supplies, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability Act as technical interface between component/production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources Investigate alternate component technologies or supplies for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability, and implements changes Develop guidelines/procedures on vendor selection May also review vendor capability to support product development Evaluate supplier change notification and qualify changes, as needed Represent Component Engineering at the Parts Control Board Develop and Maintain an Approved Parts List Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
BSEE and 7-10+ years of related industry experience; MSEE and 5+ years of related industry experience, preferred Experience in Component Engineering with knowledge in DC/DC converters a plus Knowledge of qualification of hybrid components and associated processes a plus Experience with collaboration among vendors, quality, purchasing and design team members in support of new design Good understanding of passive and active components Good communications skills, verbal and written Job Features
