Overview
The Common Market is seeking a passionate and experienced Food Distribution Warehouse & Trucking Manager to lead our logistics operations for our Farm Food Hub in Atlanta. In this critical role, you will oversee both the warehouse management and transportation logistics for our local food distribution efforts. You will ensure that fresh, high-quality local products reach schools, hospitals, and community organizations in a timely manner.
About the Role As the Warehouse & Trucking Manager, you will develop and implement efficient processes to maximize warehouse operations and coordinate transportation logistics, managing all aspects of our distribution network.
Schedule Schedule: Monday-Friday 6AM-4PM
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping
Manage the trucking and transportation logistics to ensure timely delivery of products
Supervise and train warehouse associates and drivers, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency
Coordinate with farmers and suppliers to optimize order deliveries and product availability
Monitor compliance with food safety regulations and organizational quality standards
Analyze metrics to identify opportunities for improvement in warehouse and logistics performance
Maintain inventory accuracy and implement excess and waste management strategies

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in the food distribution sector
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams effectively
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics software
Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse stakeholders
Experience with route optimization, fleet management, and transportation logistics
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in various warehouse environments
