PeopleTec is currently seeking a
Software Product Owner
to support our
Huntsville, AL
location. The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The PO will be responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the Infrastructure Services & Libraries (ISL) team. The position will include reviewing/understanding Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team. The PO will support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for software updates and be responsible for their verification. The product owner will work with Program Management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint. The position will include technical briefings, demonstrations and advisement to leadership. The product owner will report on status; recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission. Responsibilities Prioritize and validate development software for the Infrastructure Services & Libraries (ISL) team. Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms; provide guidance to the development team. Develop acceptance criteria for software updates and verify they are met. Collaborate with Program Management to set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience : Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above. Ability to work directly with Agile software developers. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office toolset. U.S. Citizenship is required. An active DoD
Secret
clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates must have an active Secret clearance upon hire and maintain it during employment.
Education Requirements : Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
Desired Skills : Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS is a plus. Ability to move ideas, architectures, and designs forward with independent critical thinking and a collaborative attitude. Experience in JIRA/Confluence is a plus.
