Organization: VIS Clinical Cool Springs Job Summary: The mammographer performs diagnostic mammographic procedures in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. Key Responsibilities: Performs all mammographic procedures and views according to established department protocols Demonstrates competency in performing all procedures, age range from adult to geriatric Performs all assigned RIS transactions to ensure that accurate patient and procedure information is recorded in a timely fashion for the patient medical record and billing purposes Performs visual maintenance checks on all equipment used and reports all malfunctions to appropriate personnel Communicates with hospital staff and physicians in the performance of diagnostic mammographic procedures to exchange pertinent patient information Contributes to a positive work environment and demonstrates a teamwork effort Technical Capabilities: Supporting Colleagues: Develops Self and Others; Builds and Maintains Relationships; Communicates Effectively Delivering Excellent Services: Serves Others with Compassion; Solves Complex Problems; Offers Meaningful Advice and Support Ensuring High Quality: Performs Excellent Work; Ensures Continuous Improvement; Fulfills Safety and Regulatory Requirements Managing Resources Effectively: Demonstrates Accountability; Stewards Organizational Resources; Makes Data Driven Decisions Fostering Innovation: Generates New Ideas; Applies Technology; Adapts to Change Position Qualifications: Certifications: LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Work Experience: Relevant Work Experience Experience Level: 1 year Education: Graduate of an approved discipline specific program Vanderbilt Health is committed to fostering an environment where everyone has the chance to thrive and is committed to the principles of equal opportunity.
