We are seeking a talented summer intern hire who is currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university and will be given work related to that degree area. Acceptable degree programs will include only information technology related programs such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Information, Sciences and Technology. Basic skill requirements will include knowledge, experience, and a desire to learn software development and software testing. Candidate must be able to work within a team environment under supervision from senior software engineers. This position will be based out of Valley Forge, PA.
This position requires a candidate with strong problem-solving skills focused on software development and integration in support of the United States Air Force's Operational Real-time Combat Analysis (ORCA) and JASSM Enterprise Management System (JEMS) programs. The candidate will be working on an agile development team and will be responsible for supporting elements of the design/development effort. The candidate should be a well-rounded software developer with broad experience, but with a focused interest and demonstrable skills in web application design, development, and test. The candidate will be involved in the coordination and task execution of a tiered web application development including GUI prototyping, external web service integration, development of new web services, design/development of logic layer, SQL DB integration, and IIS hosting. The candidate will require strong technical writing skills and an understanding of system and software engineering principles. The candidate will be involved in the continued design and development of data management and visualization solutions, from requirements development and planning through full implementation, test & integration, deployment and O&M. Candidate must be able to work within a team environment. Work location will be in King of Prussia, PA along with virtual options. - Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Skills: Web application development, Software design, C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS/SASS, Microsoft Visual Studio Desired Skills: - Angular - Webservices (SOAP, REST) - SQL / stored procedure development - SQL Server / SQL Server Management Studio - Azure DevOps (ADO) - Application servers - Microsoft IIS - Build/deployment automation experience (esp. TFS/msbuild) - Strong verbal and written communication skills Security Clearance Statement:
