This recruitment is being conducted under the Operation Hire Hawaii (OH-HI) project, a targeted outreach initiative featuring an expedited hiring process, fast-tracking qualified applicants into job opportunities throughout Hawai’i. Salary : IV level - $5,953 - $6,794 per month, V level - $6,667 - $7,629 per month, VI level - $7,148 - $8,230 per month. Positions in the Planner series are concerned with providing legislative and top-level administrative policymakers with information and plans for the orderly and coordinated physical, environmental, social and/or economic development of Hawaii and/or of the services of the State government. Responsibilities : Conducts planning projects, participates in promoting effective relationship with other agencies and groups, and performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements : Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and progressively responsible professional planning experience. Specialized Experience : LEVEL IV: Two and one/half (2-1/2) years of specialized experience, LEVEL V: Three and one/half (3-1/2) years of specialized experience, LEVEL VI: Four and one/half (4-1/2) years of specialized experience. The experience MUST also show actual involvement in and responsibility for the integration of information, advising and assisting agencies and administrators on planning concepts and methods, and formulation and presentation of plans and policy recommendations. Supervisory Aptitude : Supervisory aptitude rather than actual supervisory experience may be accepted for LEVEL V and LEVEL VI.
