Description
SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems & Network Administrator to support the AOC WS Falconer Program. This role combines expertise in both systems and network administration to ensure the installation, configuration, sustainment, and troubleshooting of mission-critical Command and Control (C2) systems across various Air Operations Centers (AOCs) worldwide.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Install and support Agile Release Events (AREs), Critical System Updates (CSUs), Fast Tracks (FTs/FTTIs), and NOTAMs
Administer and sustain the AOC baseline, including both system and network components
Configure, troubleshoot, and migrate infrastructure components
Perform data migration, application tuning, domain policy updates, and security patching
Submit and resolve trouble tickets; minimize system downtime
Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), engineering sessions, and post-installation reviews
Support Configuration Management (CM) processes and Request for Variance (RFV) submissions
Provide performance and security recommendations
Collaborate with stakeholders to define site-specific objectives
Track lessons learned and share insights across the team
Assist with testing, verification, and validation of future upgrades
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of hands-on experience in Systems and/or Network Administration
Master's degree with 5+ years of experience
Equivalent experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of formal education
CERTIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III compliant within 30 days of hire)
Active passport within 90 days of hire
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop OS, Active Directory, Group Policy
LAN/WAN/SAN technologies and data backup solutions
Microsoft Exchange, SCCM/MECM, WSUS, WDS, SQL Server
VMWare vSphere/ESXi, Citrix (Provisioning, XenApp, Storefront), McAfee ePO
ACAS/Nessus, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), UNIX
Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches, routers, UCS, NetApp storage systems
Firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Juniper, SideWinder), ACLs, SolarWinds NPM/NCM
Cisco Secure ACS/ISE, virtual switching (VDS), CIFS/NSFs
DESIRED SKILLS:
Strong communication and collaboration in high-performance environments
Experience with domain services, patching, scanning, account management, backups, auditing, and performance tuning
Familiarity with GCCS-J, TBMCS, JADOCS, MAAP TK systems
Ability to identify and correct technical documentation errors
