You will be responsible for formulating, integrating, reviewing, and defending life cycle cost estimates for an SSP acquisition program, major subprogram, or Middle Tier Acquisition effort. You will be responsible for translating system programmatic and technical information as provided by government technical staff or industry partners into high-quality cost estimates. You will lead and provide overarching guidance to a team of government and contractor cost analysts to complete deliverables in support of both internal SSP business processes and externally-driven reviews (e.g., milestones, Navy gate reviews, etc.). You will coordinate with program stakeholders to ensure that the inputs to cost estimates (e.g., Cost Analysis Requirements Descriptions) are internally consistent and the resultant cost estimates lead to optimal acquisition outcomes. You will formulate and deliver tailored briefings to both SSP program stakeholders as well as members of the broader cost community (e.g., the Naval Cost Agency and OSW Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation). Qualifications / Requirements

Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing. You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment. Qualifications detail

Experience: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, specifically in cost engineering or analysis for weapon systems including life cycle cost estimates for development, production, operations and support, and/or disposal phases. Education: For the 08XX series, required education includes a professional engineering degree or equivalent options as detailed in the job posting; for the 1515 series, relevant degrees/experiences in operations research or related fields apply.
