About the Role
Spiegelworld is looking for a Doorier Part Time to join the team at Diner Ross at the LINQ in Las Vegas. Dooriers welcome all guests upon arrival to the venue. They open doors for guests and tell them about 99 Prince Street, directing guests to either the Glitterloft or Diner Ross. Dooriers are the initial greeter for the venue welcoming guests inside. Dooriers will identify if a guest is going to the restaurant or show and help provide directions. Dooriers are charming, charismatic, immaculately dressed and alluring. Dooriers will encourage and influence guests passing by to enter the venue. This is a part time position with shifts from 6:30-10:30pm Wednesday - Sunday. That pays $25/hour.
What You’ll Do
Provide a welcoming atmosphere to guests upon arrival Invite and influence guests who are passing by to enter venue Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace. Create a work environment which promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction. Make food and beverage recommendations setting the tone for their experience Offer to take photos of guests Provide assistance to guests with wheelchairs/walkers or other any other special needs or requests for accommodations Manage capacity, crowd control and line queuing Handle VIP’s reservations, notifying all management of VIP arrival and departure times Entertain guests and tell them more about Spiegelworld shows and restaurants to visit Defuse confrontations or disputes before they escalate Refuse entry to guests who appear intoxicated Ensure all guests adhere to venues code of conduct Liaise with security personnel and law enforcement as needed to ensure a safe environment Say Good bye to guests as they depart the venue Other duties as assigned by your manager. The role can be physically demanding, requiring stamina and sometimes strength to open main entrance doors Strong interpersonal skills are required A knack for reading people and managing a wide range of personalities is crucial Clear and effective communication skills A keen sense of awareness to detail Professional demeanor required to set the stage for respectful interactions Conflict resolution and crowd psychology Line queuing and crowd control management Must be 21 years of age Successful background check clearance prior to hire Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled/needed Must have valid work authorization for the US.
