Overview

Principal Sales Consultant role with a specialized IT consulting firm delivering advanced network architecture, cybersecurity, and hybrid cloud transformation solutions to public sector and commercial clients. We are looking for a consultative, services-led seller to help drive new client acquisition within the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market. This is a net-new hunting role with high autonomy, focused on building relationships, shaping complex IT solutions, and expanding the firm’s presence across public safety, education, and local government accounts. Drive new client acquisition within the SLED market Build relationships and shape complex IT solutions Expand the firm’s presence across public safety, education, and local government accounts Partner directly with senior leadership to shape go-to-market strategy Qualifications

20+ years of success supporting DHS, state/local governments, and education systems Minority-owned, ISO 9001:2015-certified, AWS Select Tier Services Partner Agile, engineer-led culture with deep technical bench and strong OEM relationships 5+ years of consultative IT or public sector sales experience Proven success in hunting and closing complex services-led deals Familiarity with government procurement, pricing, and teaming structures Strong network within SLED CIO, CISO, and procurement leaders Bachelor’s degree preferred Ability to travel Compensation and Benefits

$125K–$140K base salary + 15% commission with accelerators $40K non-recoverable draw (first 6 months) $250K+ OTE achievable Cigna health, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with 4% match via Vanguard Remote setup, phone/internet stipend Travel 20–30%
