NFP, an Aon company . The Account Executive interacts with clients on a day-to-day basis while developing and maintaining relationships with both client and carrier representatives. The Account Executive will prepare applications, specifications and marketing strategy for new business as well as the renewals of assigned clients with some degree of supervision and approval from their Supervisor. In this role, you will take on the role of lead consultant and primary point of contact for assigned clients. The Account Executive will have retention targets and may have revenue goals. You will handle day-to-day account management for a specific set of clients, including verbal, electronic, and other written communications. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule from our White Plains, NY office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Client Management
Responsible for the client relationship as the point of accountability and participates in the placement process Grow, maintain and work with the producer to expand the client relationship Know the client, their business and insurance objectives; ensure complete and accurate information is presented to the marketplace Understand the client risk profile and develop strategy and resources around it; document discussions and decisions Determine proper coverage based on risk profile and objectives Pursue opportunities to round out existing client programs and provide additional resources Own the strategic engagement cycle, placement process and client communications (e.g., meetings, strategy, proposals, stewardship) Provide final review and sign-off on client presentations and key deliverables Collate client service feedback and provide annual stewardship reports Partner with claims for regular reviews and claims services Identify additional client touchpoints as needed Perform contract and document reviews; respond to client queries promptly Ensure service standards meet or exceed client expectations and protect from E&O Maintain overall retention of accounts
NFP Team Management
Establishes and leads the team; liaises with Industry/Risk Practices, Broking and other service teams Trains and develops account managers and coordinators (with support from Senior AE) Builds strong relationships with internal NFP colleagues Navigate the internal organization to bring resources to the client Ensure team compliance with NFP’s Service Model and policies
Carrier Relationships and Market Knowledge
Develops and maintains relationships with trading partners Stays informed on carrier appetites and market dynamics Represents the broader NFP while engaging in the marketplace
Placement Process
Manages an assigned book of business Leads the placement process; aligns strategy with client service team and resources Identifies additional lines of business or coverage enhancements Identifies analytic, actuarial and modeling needs and presents insights to the client Brokes core P&C lines or partners with broking team Negotiates renewal programs and coordinates with broking teams for new placements Monitors placement progress and provides client updates Prepares premium and coverage comparisons Prepares and presents proposals and obtains client authorization to bind
Sales
Partner with Producers during the sales process (qualification, program review, market competition, RFP response) Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
Other Responsibilities
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with NFP colleagues, clients, and carriers Maintains open items and responds to client and carrier requests timely Addresses billing/payment issues escalation Escalates issues to senior management when needed Issuance of legal documents (NDA, Fee Agreements, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, And/or Abilities
Excellent written communication; ability to present numeric data effectively Experience with EPIC or similar agency management system Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Self-confident decision-making and strong leadership Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Calm, professional demeanor; high attention to detail
