ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST II
(Class Code 372C) 3-Month Appointment The Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, invites applications from qualified individuals interested in the Administrative Analyst II position in the Collaborative Justice Programs, which supports efforts to break the cycle of criminal justice involvement. This position will, through a variety of administrative coordination and oversight work, perform analytical assignments and special studies related to these programs, including gathering and analyzing data, preparing reports and presentations, and working directly with collaborative court teams for coordination and communication. $3,258.79 to $3,959.68 biweekly ($40.7349 to $49.4960 hourly) Examples of Duties Position Overview Under the direction of the Director of Collaborative Justice Programs, the Administrative Analyst II is responsible for supporting the Collaborative Justice Judges and for facilitating the coordinated efforts needed to maintain the programmatic functioning of the Collaborative Courts in the following areas: Program Support Provides the Director and Judges with administrative and technical support to increase operational functioning of Collaborative Justice Courts. Assists the Director to oversee program development and ensure programs adhere to evidence-based practices. Provides multiple Collaborative Court teams with administrative and technical support. Manages and maintains all Collaborative Court database accounts. Manages grant reporting requirements. Researches opportunities for grant funding to enhance the Collaborative Court programs. Develops, modifies, and maintains the court’s MS Access databases. Coordinates and manages special events, including graduations and visits from other drug court teams. Assists with public outreach materials, including a newsletter, website, and other materials. Develops outreach opportunities to neighborhood groups and other city partners. Assists with research for grant funding; develops support programs and expansion projects. Program Documentation and Data Collection Generates monthly activity reports for court administration, program managers, staff, and partner agencies. Generates quarterly and financial reports for grant makers, including the Administrative Office of the Court, Drug Court Partnership/Comprehensive Drug Court Initiative, and Bureau of Justice Assistance. Collaborates with Department of Public Health staff for bi-annual post pleading drug court reports to the State AOD; integrates criminal justice and public health data. Analyzes data to understand program trends and support policy changes. Data Management Analyzes data collection procedures; works with staff to revise and develop alternate data collection procedures to support program functions. Manages database implementation and modifications, including staff training, database maintenance, and user accounts. Performs other job-related duties as needed. Work is performed in an office and meeting room environment; with continuous contact with judicial officers, other governmental agencies and social service agencies, executive management staff, other staff, and the public. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: Two years of responsible work experience, preferably in a governmental or social service setting, performing a variety of administrative analysis and coordination work related to budgets, purchasing, facility planning, contract administration, or other analytical work involving data collection, research, analysis planning and report writing. Desirable Qualifications Experience related to collaborative justice programs is preferred. Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social sciences, communications, economics, business administration, computer science, mathematics, psychology, or a closely related field is desirable. Knowledge Of Collaborative Justice programs, such as drug diversion programs and behavioral health alternatives and providers. Research and information gathering techniques. Statistical methods and analysis. Program evaluation methodologies. Use of databases such as Microsoft Access or willingness to be trained. Ability To Work effectively in a team environment. Work effectively with the Court’s collaborative justice partners. Advise members of the bench on a variety of related issues with confidence and reliability. Organize and present ideas and recommendations both orally and in writing. Gather, organize, and assess large amounts of data; determine appropriate data for extraction and analysis. Write comprehensive and compelling reports in a timely manner. Operate a computer and use appropriate software in the performance of analytical work. Effectively represent the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, with justice partners, the public, other Court staff, and other government agencies as a knowledgeable and competent resource. Maintain confidential information when required by legal or ethical standards.
