Amazon Web Services (AWS) . This position is exclusively for U.S. citizens who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, including Reserves, National Guard, and spouses of service members. AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS's global infrastructure. We support the reliable operation of all AWS data centers, including the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems required for uninterrupted customer access. Our diverse team, comprised of engineers, security experts, and operations managers, tackles challenging problems focusing on safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, all within an inclusive culture that encourages creative ideas and fosters ownership. Key job responsibilities

Conduct daily inspections to ensure the reliability of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems. Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS). Assist in troubleshooting facility-level issues in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Handle rack installation and decommissioning within SLAs. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment. Create technical documentation to support changes in management. Manage daily work requests from initiation to resolution, executing various projects from start to finish. Provide support to on-site contractors, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations. Be open to varying work schedules, including shifts of up to 12 hours, rotation, and on-call responsibilities. Support multiple sites as needed. Physical requirements

Capability to lift/move up to 39 pounds regularly and participate in team lifts for more than 40 pounds. Ability to balance and work on ladders. Engage in various physical activities including walking, reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, twisting, bending, grasping, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Work in environments where ear protection is necessary. A day in the life

This position involves hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of critical electrical and mechanical systems including generators, switchgear, UPS units, chillers, cooling towers, fire safety systems, and building automation. You will report to the Data Center Facility Manager. About The Team

Technical training (military or trade school) or a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or fire systems. At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications
