Overview Medtrition is seeking a dynamic Director of Sales to guide and inspire our regional managers in driving growth across enteral feeding, bowel management, dysphagia, wound care, and beyond. Director of Sales (people manager role)

Reports to:

Vice President, Commercial Strategy & Marketing (CS&M)

Location:

Field-based (ideally located in Texas)

Base pay range:

$180,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr

Additional compensation types:

Primary Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and develop a team of four Regional Sales Managers responsible for territories across the US.

Work with sales team members in their regions to drive activity and revenue in top targets.

Achieve 100% of the annual revenue target for the sales organization.

Establish clear sales strategies, quotas, and KPI frameworks to align team performance with company objectives.

Partner with marketing, national accounts, and distribution teams to expand reach and penetration in acute care, long-term care, and IDNs.

Ensure consistent execution of the Medtrition Sales Process across all territories.

Drive expansion of strategic products, optimizing product mix and profitability.

Represent the sales organization in leadership meetings, providing insights, forecasts, and market intelligence.

Preferred Skills

Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in managing distributor and IDN relationships.

Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and inspire high-performing sales teams.

Deep understanding of hospital and long-term care procurement processes.

Skilled negotiator with experience in high-value contracts.

Strategic thinker with ability to translate vision into executable sales plans.

Create productive work environment with positive attitude, initiative, and drive.

Demonstrates good common sense and sound judgment.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.

8–12 years of progressive sales experience in the medical or nutrition industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing field sales teams.

Proven track record of achieving sales quotas and driving business growth.

Strong financial acumen and understanding of contracts, pricing, and profitability.

Experience working with distributors, GPOs, and national accounts.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook).

CRM system experience required (HubSpot, NetSuite preferred).

Medtrition’s products are used in acute care and long-term care facilities by the food service department and on the patient floor by nursing and nutrition throughout the US and in countries all over the world. This position will be responsible for achieving the target sales in a territory by promoting our product line to nutrition managers, food service directors, registered dietitians (RD), and other stakeholders involved in the sales process, to include distribution companies and management partners.
