We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Director, Accounting to oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The role ensures the accuracy of financial information, prepares financial statements, maintains compliance with U.S. GAAP, reviews and updates processes for efficiency and compliance, and supports strategic decision-making. Responsibilities
Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance. Prepare accurate semiannual financial statements. Collaborate with FP&A to compare actuals to forecast, analyze variances, implement corrections, and communicate progress with Finance teams during close. Review monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (payroll, accruals, AGM variances). Prepare AR reserves and Inventory reserves and improve month-end close processes. Manage sales tax, use tax, business licenses, registration renewals, property tax and other taxes and fees. Collaborate with other departments and external parties to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Work with IT to improve ERP and reporting systems. Oversee treasury functions – cash flow, borrowing base, weekly wires and payments. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management. Assisting with SAP implementation. Requirements
CPA required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in a controller-level role Proven experience managing accounting operations end-to-end Strong command of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills and ERP system expertise (SAP preferred) Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth and evolving environment Travel up to 30% to our PA office, including occasional overnight trips Schedule and Compensation
HYBRID SCHEDULE: 4 days a week in the NJ office, 1 day work from home PAY RATE: $185,000/yr-$205,000/yr Diversity and Equal Opportunity
