This field sales role is responsible for direct contract value retention and growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. The territory includes major client accounts and carries a sales quota of 1M+ of contract value. Consult with C-level executives to develop and implement an enterprise-wide strategy that improves the value delivered by Gartner products and services.

Manage accounts toward increased customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.

Fulfill a quota of 1M+ of contract value within a territory of major client accounts.

Maintain forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.

What you need

5+ years of external experience with validated consultative sales, with evidence of prior success.

Proficiency in account planning and an understanding of territory management.

Ability to prospect and manage C-level and senior-level relationships within midsize and large organizations.

Demonstrated intellect, drive, executive presence and sales acumen.

Proven experience building excellent client relationships through offering beneficial, insightful, and strategic insights into their business.

Strong proficiency in computer skills.

Excellent written and oral presentation skills.

Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process, from prospecting to close.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Actual salaries vary based on factors including education, training, experience, and location. In addition to base salary, employees participate in an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
