The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue, increase occupancy, and enhance the hotel\'s brand presence. This role manages the sales team and collaborates with other departments to achieve the hotel\'s financial and business objectives. A strong understanding of the hospitality industry, market trends, and effective promotional tactics is required. What You\'ll Be Doing
Sales Strategy and Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan targeting market segments and accounts for group, corporate, and leisure business; lead the sales team in identifying new opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and achieving revenue targets; manage the hotel\'s online presence (website, social media, OTAs); analyze market trends and guest feedback to identify opportunities; monitor sales performance and provide regular reports; collaborate with other departments for group events and conventions. Revenue Management: Work with revenue management teams to optimize pricing strategies and maximize RevPAR; implement yield management practices to balance occupancy and rates; monitor and adjust against competitive set pricing. Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders; attend industry events to network and stay updated on trends. Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget; conduct regular financial analysis to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI; make data-driven decisions to improve outcomes. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales and marketing team; provide guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations; foster a collaborative and motivated work environment. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in hospitality management, business, marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in hotel sales and marketing with a track record of achieving revenue goals. Strong leadership and team management skills; excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Proficiency in hotel management systems, sales software, and marketing analytics tools. In-depth knowledge of the local and regional hospitality market. The Director of Sales and Marketing plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and brand recognition. This role requires a dynamic blend of strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, and industry expertise to succeed in a competitive hospitality landscape. Working Conditions & Physical Effort
Physical work is a primary part of many hotel and resort roles. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
