About This Role
Champion & Nash HVAC is looking for a Lead HVAC Installer to lead install teams. After receiving instruction from the Installation Manager, you will instruct your team and execute professional install jobs. You will work hands-on with your crew while installing a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration equipment. You will ensure the installation is done properly, safely, and to the high standards of the company while delivering excellent customer service. This is a full-time role reporting to the General Manager and based out of our Pasadena office (Houston, TX). About You
5+ years of field experience and a desire to grow with strong support Commitment to getting the job done right the first time Strong communication skills and the ability to explain basic maintenance to customers Enjoy mentoring and training apprentices What You’ll Do
Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential customers Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC and ventilation units Maintain inventory, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle Mentor and train apprentices on the job with learning opportunities Diagnose service issues, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate systems to manufacturer recommendations Provide excellent customer service to resolve technical, logistical, and scheduling issues Perform quality work with honesty and diligence and follow company procedures and values Must Haves
5+ years of field experience Active Driver’s License Tech-savvy, able to use tablets and learn work-related software Experience developing quotations for repairs and installations of replacement equipment Analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read blueprints, plans, and manuals Proven ability to install, replace, and service HVAC systems in new residential and commercial properties Willingness to work weekends (Saturdays) or on-call shifts when needed Working Conditions / Physical Demands
Safety is the primary focus; knowledge of safe practices and OSHA requirements Regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls; hear and talk Ability to climb ladders, work in hot/cold environments, and in small crawl spaces Ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs Work environment varies by season; outdoor work may be required Pay Range
Pay is dependent on experience; up to $61/hr Benefits and Perks
