Construction Job Estimator

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Construction Job Estimator to join our team. Position Overview: The Construction Job Estimator will play a crucial role in our pre-construction phase, responsible for accurately estimating the costs, resources, and timeline required for various construction projects. This position requires a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and materials. Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed analysis of project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates. Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses. Research and analyze material prices, subcontractor bids, and other relevant data to ensure competitiveness and accuracy of estimates. Present estimates to management and clients, explaining cost breakdowns and assumptions. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and discussions with stakeholders to clarify project scope and requirements. Continuously update and maintain cost databases, historical data, and other resources to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency. Assist in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety. Monitor industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to stay informed of changes that may impact project costs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred). Proven experience as a construction estimator or similar role in the construction industry. Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, RSMeans) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Certification by a recognized professional association (e.g., American Society of Professional Estimators) is a plus. Salary Range:
