The Opportunity

We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Analytical Development group who is experienced and committed to developing and running mass spectrometry methods to support our AOC research and clinical programs. What You Will Contribute

Design and perform experiments, analyze experimental data, report results, and provide feedback on appropriate next steps such as assay optimization or follow-up experiments. Develops and qualifies analytical methods to support AOC release, stability, and extended characterization testing Implements novel analytical techniques to overcome analytical challenges in the characterization of AOCs. Documents experiments in electronic notebooks and writes technical reports summarizing findings. Provide updates and present data proactively and regularly in group and CMC meetings. Ensures adherence to applicable regulations, including FDA, EMA, ICH, GMP, and internal Avidity policies. Contributes to the company's core values (agile, visionary, integrated, and diverse) Perform other duties as required. What We Seek

MS in chemistry, biology, or pharmaceutical sciences; or BS with at least 4 years of experience with mass spectrometry analysis of biologics. Knowledge of antibody and/or oligonucleotide analytical separation and mass spectrometry techniques. Prior experience with various laboratory techniques including LC-MS/MS, HPLC, and CE. Proven ability to thrive and enable success in a cross-functional and collaborative environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate constructive, expedient problem-solving. Ability to multi-task, manage conflict, and work in a fast-paced environment. What We Will Provide To You

The base salary range for this role is $87,000 - $113,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors. Avidity offers competitive compensation and benefits, which include the opportunity for annual and spot bonuses, stock options, and RSUs, as well as a 401(k) with an employer match.
