Overview

Dairy Plant Maintenance Engineering Manager at Kroger. Direct, schedule and control all plant engineering/maintenance functions to obtain optimum efficiencies from equipment, utilities and facilities. Ensure safety, quality, reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. Lead with Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles and uphold core values: respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. Responsibilities

Provide engineering guidance and leadership at the plant level Supervise and coach direct reports; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback Lead development and implementation of the plant/business unit 3-year capital plan, including preparing capital appropriation requests, developing bids, releasing contracts, managing projects, controlling funds, facilitating training, and delivering project results Recommend and/or assist in equipment/processing system modifications and replacements Stay up to date on technology related to plant operations Develop, implement and control approved budgets Maintain engineering records including equipment records, manuals, drawings, diagrams, inspection reports and legal records Drive the integrated maintenance process: predictive/preventative maintenance, work order procedures and optimized parts inventory Oversee identification, selection, training, performance evaluation and development of maintenance and engineering staff Lead energy management and efficiency initiatives aligned with goals Ensure plant compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA and other regulations through collaboration with relevant agencies Maintain programs to produce safe, quality foods meeting regulatory and company requirements Support SQF 2000 Systems development, implementation and improvement Adhere to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with relevant experience 5+ years of technical experience in the food industry Knowledge of Food Safety Principles, GMP, EPA and OSHA requirements Strong attention to detail with high accuracy Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities Proven leadership skills Ability to foster positive relationships with key stakeholders Desired Previous Job Experience/Education

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering 6+ years of experience in the food industry involving capital project development/management, preventative maintenance, maintenance workforce management, budget responsibility and federal regulations Seniority level
