You will shape tech policy discussions and regulatory frameworks that advance Micron’s position as a world technology leader, to include those related to artificial intelligence and growing market demand!**Responsibilities include, but not limited to:*** Advance Micron’s public policy objectives with the primary goal of promoting tech policy that supports Micron’s business strategy.* Drive development, positioning and execution of Micron senior management outreach and key collaborator engagement to relevant policymakers, ensuring external relations are aligned* Anticipate and assess opportunity, change, and potential risks in the legislative, regulatory, public policy and political realms.* More broadly, navigate sophisticated political and policy issues, including AI and technology policy, and distill key messages for a diverse variety of audiences.* Serve as the Government & Public Affairs Business Partner for Micron’s customer-facing business units and provide guidance on how policy mechanisms can be shaped to their benefit, to include policies that grow market demand.* Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the business units’ strategic goals and objectives around policy.* Proactively present concise and business-relevant intelligence on pertinent regulatory and governmental issues to advise our approach and deliver policy outcomes for the business.* Collaborate with associates at all levels within the organization, including regional teams, and with key constituents outside the company.* Ensure awareness of key constituencies, including governmental and non-governmental, organizations and opinion leaders who may have a positive or negative impact on the business.## **Minimum** **Qualifications:*** Bachelor's Degree in business, political science, engineering, or related field;* Minimum of 7 years work experience with a relevant industry, such as manufacturing or technology; previous U.S. government experience preferred.* Familiarity with, and interest in, product regulation and government procurement processes, particularly for microelectronics, and core understanding of national politics and U.S. government processes.* Excellent writing and analysis; outstanding interpersonal, as well as effective communication and presentation skills* Project management experience; as well as an ability to perform diverse tasks, implement in a timely and efficient manner, and prioritize goals.* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and CoPilot.* Outstanding interpersonal skills, a desire to seek feedback and act on it, and a good sense of humor.* Proactive problem-solver who excels in a fast-paced environment and is ready to jump right in.Strong communities and education are vital to the success of both society and innovative companies.
