Overview

The Greenville office of Carroll Daniel Engineering is seeking an experienced Process Chemical Engineer to lead the process design group and support design engineering for process industrial manufacturing clients. This role will work with Project Managers and the Business Development team to capture and deliver complex projects for Fortune 500 manufacturers. Responsibilities

Lead the Process Team in producing General Arrangement drawings and construction documentation. Perform hydraulic calculations, pressure relief device calculations, and process hazard analyses. Utilize simulation software for system and process analysis. Provide leadership and direction to designers and engineers. Support construction and field operations as needed, ensuring alignment with project designs. Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and responsive service. Participate in project planning, design reviews, and problem-solving during all phases of the project lifecycle. Qualifications

Design and optimize chemical processes and systems. Lead research and development initiatives to improve products and technologies. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Mentor and guide junior engineers in technical and professional development. Analyze data and implement solutions to enhance process efficiency. Develop and manage project timelines and budgets. Contribute to sustainability and environmental impact reduction efforts. Proficiency with process simulation software and familiarity with hydraulic and pressure relief calculations. Strong understanding of Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) methodologies. Excellent professional writing, presentation, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and lead project teams. Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s of Chemical Engineering (BSChE) required. Experience: Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in process engineering, with a focus on specialty chemical, films and fibers, nonwovens, or related manufacturing industries. Licensure: Active PE certification (SC preferred). Working Conditions

Role generally operates from an office location with potential project-site responsibilities. The position may involve exposure to jobsite conditions and travel to client locations as required by project demands. Equal Opportunity
