Responsibilities

Leads the discovery, development, and evaluation of new product ideas and enhancements, converting findings into usable and marketable products. Collaborates with other functions and enterprise engineering teams to develop detailed plans for new designs and products. Collaborates with functional business leaders to create long-range operating and manufacturing goals. Establishes an organizational structure with clear roles and responsibilities focused on engineering priorities. Communicates the engineering vision, objectives, strategies, and priorities to the engineering team and key business unit leaders. Hires, coaches, and develops engineering talent to build a high-performing team. Drives on-time, on-budget project delivery that meets quality standards. Reviews and anticipates future department technology needs. Champions adoption of emerging technologies such as lightweight materials, smart interiors, EV architectures, and connected vehicle systems. Drives continuous improvement through design for manufacturability (DFM), design for serviceability (DFS), and cost optimization. Other responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Master’s degree in engineering or MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in vehicle engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role. Deep understanding of vehicle systems and lifecycle development in automotive, truck, or RV industries. Experience with CAD/CAE tools, PLM systems (NX/Teamcenter preferred). Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and homologation processes. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
