Associate National Equipment Specialist
– US location: Minneapolis, MN. Job ID: 2025-2316. Category: Maintenance. Type: Full Time Non Exempt. Pay: $25-32/hour. The company focuses on holistic water management, equipment, chemistries, engineering, and services to conserve natural resources. Travel: 80-100% of the time, Monday–Friday with home on weekends. Role summary: The Associate National Equipment Specialist provides professional service and support for Kurita America’s customers by performing field service, installation, startup, repairs, and maintenance of Kurita America equipment and equipment manufactured by others. Equipment includes pumps, motors, valves, RO systems, filtration, softeners, skid-mounted equipment, etc.
Responsibilities
Travel expectation is 80-100%. Typical work week includes traveling to site Monday and returning home Friday end of day; some weekend work may be required.
Equipment commissioning and customer training for Kurita America water systems.
Perform routine maintenance for Kurita equipment and equipment manufactured by others.
Troubleshoot and repair customer water systems and equipment.
Make technical recommendations to customers to improve system performance.
Complete all required reports and records in the timeframes and formats determined by Kurita America.
Provide customer service—build relationships with external and internal customers, offering on-site and telephone support.
Collaborate with project teams, colleagues, and management to resolve or escalate problems.
Ensure site work is carried out in the required order for timely completion.
Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications
Ability to travel by airplane and automobile; away from home 5 days a week.
High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree in a technical field or equivalent is preferred.
Technical and mechanical aptitude.
Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, AC/DC motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and pump systems is preferred.
Must maintain valid driver’s license and passport for travel to Canada.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Must be able to perform duties safely and effectively, including climb, crawl, and use of ladders or scaffolding.
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; stand and walk for extended periods; push, pull, lift, bend, and stoop for sustained periods.
Occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees for extended periods.
