Java Developer Engineering Lead Analyst Vice President at Citi. This role participates in establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and contributes extensive software development expertise. Responsibilities

Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk analysis, applications development, and model development to establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet business needs. Monitor and control all phases of the development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation; provide user and operational support on applications to business users. Apply in-depth knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, and judge alternatives against industry standards. Recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analyses to ensure system design and functionality. Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, propose advanced programming solutions, and assist with customer exposure systems. Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes. Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts. Operate with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment and autonomy. Act as subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members. Assess risk when business decisions are made, uphold Citi’s reputation, safeguard clients and assets, drive compliance with laws and regulations, and escalate/manage control issues with transparency. Basic Qualifications

6+ years software development experience 5+ years of Elastic stack development and supporting clients on PaaS Elastic clusters; Unix scripting, SQL, SQL Loader, ETL, Oracle Experience with Java, Oracle 19c and Linux 8 Experience reviewing data load and retrieval requirements; data loads to ELK with File Beat and Logstash; Logstash pipeline management; Filebeat configuration Experience indexing for ELK performance: ILM, index templates, index creation, CCR, auto-follower Experience resolving Master and Data nodes performance issues; Sharding concepts and internal data management Kibana setup and configurations; Kibana WebUI tools Firewall whitelisting, REST API Strong Java development skills: Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Java API for data connectivity, JPA, XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON; REST/SOAP web services; Tomcat, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes Shell scripting; Python is a plus Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent work experience Job Details
