Overview

A leading industrial manufacturer is seeking experienced Structural Engineers with a strong background in designing structures that endure stresses to join their engineering team in Kansas City. This is an exciting opportunity to work on technically complex projects involving machine track foundations and heavy rotating equipment, supporting capital investments, maintenance upgrades, and facility expansions. You\'ll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team delivering structural solutions that directly impact production performance and reliability. This role offers the chance to work on-site at manufacturing facilities, contributing to the full project lifecycle—from concept through construction and commissioning. Responsibilities

Design structures to endure stresses and environmental conditions. Configure structures, oversee drawing production, select appropriate foundation, building and equipment support materials. Inspect construction work and ensure the structural soundness of foundations, buildings and structures. Prepare reports, design criteria, estimates, designs and drawings. Make calculations about pressures, loads and stresses. Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction. Obtain planning and/or building regulations approval. Liaise with clients and professional staff such as architects and engineers. Monitor and inspect work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness. Inspect geotechnical properties to evaluate conditions and foundations. Use computer aided design technology for simulation purposes. Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Experience in industrial civil engineering. Experience with STAAD, AutoCAD and Revit. Experience with steel, concrete and masonry. Experience in heavy to light industrial projects. Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulatory requirements.
