Milpitas, California, United States of America Johnson & Johnson Vision is recruiting for a Production Planner, located in Milpitas, CA. Production Planning’s purpose is to enable improved and/or sustained customer service satisfaction through meeting demand for a product over a period of time. What to make, when to make it, how much to make, where to make it and what materials and resources are required are determined through the production planning process. Key Role Responsibilities: Convert the unconstraint net requirements into a site level feasible, constrained capacity plan for key resources for finished goods and FRU’s (Field Replaceable Units). Manual or systematic calculation of netted supply requirements for both purchased and manufactured upstream materials. Ensures accuracy of signals for the timely ordering and delivery of components to support manufacturing activities. Works closely with Supply Planning to insure we are meeting customer expectations and desired customer service level. Establishes effective communication with supporting functions to resolve issues that may impact the production schedule. Set target stocking levels for FRU’s based on historical usage and based on input from product experts. Participates in new product launch meetings and assist in developing new product forecasts and production schedules. Minimize SLOB, perform excess and obsolete inventory reviews. ECO (Engineering Change Order) review and implementation, work with Engineering and Service Planning to disposition to minimize impact to SLOB and service level. Develop production and procurement plans, meeting demand, supporting inventory objectives, and aligned with S&OP. Escalate potential constraints to STEM (Short term exception management) process. Creates and maintains all SAP material master data including routings, cycle times, inventory targets in all spare parts service locations. Supporting EOL by working with purchasing to complete last time buy or engineer to quality replacement. Qualifications Education:
University/bachelor’s Degree required, and 4-6 Years related work experience. Required Skills: ERP or SAP System experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities. Data analytics capabilities. Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to see problems and recommend or take appropriate actions to solve them, ability to work in detail and be result oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication. Preferred Skills: APO, OMP, or BW knowledge. Familiar with FDA, cGMP, CE and other Medical Device Industry regulations and requirements. Familiarity or experience with lean, six sigma (i.e. DMAIC), and other continuous improvement methodologies Medical devise background preferred. Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. Other: This position may travel up to 10%.
