Description Our goal is to be Earth's most customer centric company, and we are just getting started. We need people who want to join an ambitious program that continues to push the state of the art in space-based systems design. Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for the next member of our avionics development team who are building critical components for Project Kuiper satellites. We are looking for an exceptional engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to deliver hardware. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Basic Qualifications

BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

4+ years of experience in hardware development across full product life cycle (concept to production at scale) in consumer, industrial, or aerospace electronics or similar field.

Experience with PCB design and debugging, including microprocessors, FPGAs, power supplies, and sensors.

Experience with complex board designs, including high-speed interconnects, high-reliability designs, avionics, vehicle control systems, and/or motor & actuator control electronics.

Experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in hardware development across full product life cycle (concept to production at scale) in consumer, industrial, or aerospace electronics.

Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

Experience with developing scripts and/or software that aid the development or testing of hardware.

Experience in development and test of satellite bus systems.

Experience with integration of systems into aerospace/avionics enclosures.

Electronics design/qualification experience with radiation environments or radiation tolerant hardware.

Experience with low-level firmware development and integration.

Experience with development of hardware in loop testing for automotive and/or aerospace systems.

Working knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python or C/C++.

The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
