Overview We’re seeking a Piping Systems Designer to drive digital construction innovation by transforming contract drawings into build-ready Revit and BIM models that support prefabrication, quality, and efficiency. This role collaborates with project managers, field teams, and fabrication shops to ensure constructability, accuracy, and best practices are built into every project.
Location and Compensation Denver, Colorado | Salary: $100,000 – $110,000 annually
Responsibilities
Lead technical direction, mentoring, and training for design staff.
Review contract drawings, ensuring constructability and quality before fabrication.
Oversee VDC/BIM models, shop drawings, and prefabrication opportunities.
Conduct quality control checks and implement workflow improvements.
Partner with field managers to document best practices and material preferences.
Support budgeting, material selection, and process optimization.
Qualifications
5+ years in pipefitting, piping, or hydronics; design experience with Revit, Navisworks, or Tekla.
Strong knowledge of drafting/design techniques and construction methods.
Ability to make independent decisions and manage complex projects.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills.
College degree preferred or equivalent field/design experience.
