Irvine, CA or San Diego, CA Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) is a subsidiary of the Kiewit Corporation. Since our founding in 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts, MEC pursues electrical projects that require a higher level of technical and logistical skill. MEC self-performs the majority of its work and seeks people committed to the industrial construction industry. Projects may require relocation on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities

Supervise construction projects and perform daily inspections of work performed. Act as liaison and coordinator between contractors; solve problems that arise. Establish budgetary guidelines for the job and ensure cost control measures are followed. Provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel. Establish quality standards and ensure QA and company standards are met. Develop and manage job schedules (e.g., three week, 90 day, man loading); coordinate work with contractors and deliveries with suppliers; ensure inspections are scheduled appropriately. Relocation may be required as projects are located nationwide. Qualifications

A minimum of five years experience as General Foreman or Superintendent Management of union labor a plus Direct and supervise crews Broad understanding of technical electrical systems, including: Underground layout and installation; instrumentation installation; above ground systems layout and installations Conduit installations within hazardous locations; cable tray systems; cable pulling in conduit and tray Experience managing 20-50 craft employees simultaneously Prepared to attend meetings with customers and owners/general contractors Positive attitude with excellent motivational skills; adaptable to new surroundings and people Must be able to access all points of a construction site; able to work with a team and provide input Working knowledge of computers; experience with Microsoft Excel and Word Willing to travel and relocate on an as-needed basis; nationwide Able to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future Other Requirements

Base Compensation:

$89,174 - $137,050 Actual compensation varies by education, experience, skillset, and location.
