Boulder, CO or Remote This role is for an experienced Staff or Principal ML Engineer to lead the development of generative AI and LLM-powered products. The engineer will take ownership of AI initiatives end-to-end: designing and fine-tuning open-source and proprietary LLMs, building advanced RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and multi-agent systems, and deploying models into production with low latency and high scalability. The role involves applying reinforcement learning fine-tuning techniques (PPO, DPO, GRPO, RLHF) to continuously optimize model performance, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver finance-focused AI solutions. This is a hands-on, technical leadership role for individuals with experience shipping LLM-based products, building autonomous AI systems, and driving zero-to-one product initiatives in fast-paced environments. Responsibilities

5–7+ years (post-BS/MS/PhD) of applied AI/ML engineering experience Expertise in LLM fine-tuning (LoRA, vLLM) and advanced RAG pipelines Proven experience with reinforcement learning fine-tuning and production deployment of generative AI models Experience designing agentic workflows or multi-agent systems for autonomous AI behavior Resilience and adaptability in early-stage startup or zero-to-one product environments Optional: experience in finance / fintech / wealth management Why This Role
