In your role as an Electrical Designer, you will lead and contribute to the successful design, production, coordination, and management of Traffic Signal Design and Lighting projects. You will develop traffic signal, lighting, or auxiliary systems designs in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, such as layout, single line diagrams, wiring schematics, photometric layouts, and grounding details. You will also prepare and review wire sizing, voltage drop, and conduit capacity calculations, and coordinate utilities for electrical infrastructure and transportation-related design and construction projects. Additionally, you will prepare technical reports, tender documentation, and provide field support, such as commissioning, traffic signal turn-on, and site inspections. Responsibilities:

Design of traffic signals and illumination for various clients Preparation of lighting and traffic signal layouts Preparation of wiring diagrams and electrical details Photometric analysis of lighting systems Voltage drop calculations Preparation of contract documents and specifications Site visits and contract administration Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

Undergraduate degree or Technologist diploma in Electrical Engineering

and

5+ years of relevant work experience in construction design-consulting . Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years relevant experience in traffic signal and streetlighting design , knowledge of various municipal and MTO lighting and traffic signal design standards, and

proficiency with computer-aided design software such as Microstation and AutoCAD . What's in it for you?
