Job Details Begins taking responsibility for project design work under the guidance of the Engineer of Record (EOR) and within their area of expertise. Develops design concepts and approaches with input and oversight from the EOR. Performs engineering studies and design analyses using industry-standard software. Oversees the preparation of drawings, ensuring technical accuracy and presentation quality. Reviews and provides feedback on the work of design team members to ensure quality and completeness. Participates in meetings with owners, clients, and architects as needed. Coordinates with local authorities, utility providers, and municipalities to address applicable construction codes and regulatory requirements. Assists in developing the overall man-hour budget and manages discipline-specific hours and work plans accordingly. Contributes to project scheduling by providing updates and planning tasks to meet deadlines. Conducts engineering analyses including studies, load calculations, and equipment selection aligned with project goals. Coordinates equipment layouts and spatial requirements with architects and other disciplines. Participates in internal project kick-off and design coordination meetings. Reviews deliverables for technical accuracy and completeness prior to QA/QC review. Responds to contractor and supplier inquiries during bidding and construction phases. Performs site visits to observe construction progress, ensuring alignment with design documents, codes, and owner expectations. Reviews and comments on shop drawings and submittals. Maintains organized records of project communications with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Supports the development and mentoring of designers and EITs. Stays current with industry trends, standards, and technologies through continuous learning. May assist the Project Manager with select project coordination duties as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in discipline-specific design and analysis
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience with sports facility projects preferred
Proficiency in Revit required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong understanding of engineering principles, theories, and methodologies
